I represent a true conservative party that was formed in Malta last year in an effort to balance out the other three local mainstream left/centre left parties. our party is called Azzjoni Nazzjonali (National Action). So far we have refrained from joining a European Party because we believe that there isn't one that represents true conservative values. This is an urgent need if we do not want Europe to end up as a EUSSR dominated by Marxists and their liberal cronies in the so called Christian Democrat Left. We would gladly sign up to a British initiative, led by the conservative party to setup a new European Party. I am certain their will be other european parties that would gladly follow suit.

By my meaning it is totally impossible to be right wing conservative patriot and support the europhils from EPP. So, the choice is clear - All conservatives have to say : \"Adieu EPP !\

Leaving the EPP was always a good idea, and essential if the Tories were to be seen as acting on their stated beliefs.
The EPP attempt to prevent Dan Hannan from insisting on the rule of law in the EU parliament makes our withdrawal urgent.
At home and in Europe, the Tories must stand against the professional political elite which tries to build itself a machinery of power and perks disconnected from voter concerns/actions.

I voted for the present leader for two main reasons. a) He is a good communicator, something we desperately needed 12 months ago and also now. b)He promised to take the Conservatives out of the EPP-ED group. I agree with all those who say that the time is right now, not in 2009. The EU tends to be an unspoken topic these days and the Bureaucrats like it that way as they continue to behave like the communist proletariat. We used to be concerned about the USSR but now we need to be concerned about the UESR (Union of European Socialist Republics).

What a con! Leaving the EEP was a cheap symbolic sop that Dave offered to the Euroseptic wing to get himself elected. Probably he never had any intention of fulfilling it. Certainly not as soon as he started cosying up to Ken Clark. Now he has successfully kicked this one into the long grass and we will probably never hear of this again. The idea will be long forgotten by 2009 and if not more excuses will be found to avoid delivering. Dave is clearly now firmly in the grip of the europhile wing. I have a strong urge to vomit every time he opens his mouth. We dont vote in UK elections here in Jersey, but i could never bring myself to vote Tory in a million years so long as Dave remains leader. When are true conservatives going to do something to rescue their party which has now been totally highjacked by extreme leftwingers? God fobid that Dave ever gets to be PM. If he does so it will only be because Labour have made themselves completely unelectable, but I have no doubt that Dave will be a far bigger disasterif he ever gets to be PM, possibly a terminal disaster for the conservative party.

A political party should be judged by what it does, not just by what is says. In particular it can be judged badly when its actions are not in accordance with it's words. Membership of the EPP represents such a conflict for the Conservative Party and needs to be resolved as a matter of urgency. We need to put up or shut up.

Getting out of EPP is a first step. Our parliament and government must be restored to full sovereignty. There is no point in it otherwise except to rubber stamp orders from Brussels.

How can the Tory MEP's justify their continued alliance with the EPP? What part the INDEPENDENT/DEMOCRACY GROUP political programme do they not subscribe to? ie 1. Rejection of the European Constitution 2. No to a European Super State 3. Respect for traditional and cultural values 4. Democracy, freedom and co-operation between sovereign states 5. Respect for national differences and interests. Freedom of votes.

The Conservative Party needs to take a stand on Europe and stop being divided over silly and ridiculous issues. David Cameron needs to take both Tony Blair and the Labour Government on over issues of Europe and push forward reform. If the Commission refuses to reform the EU, then he should withdraw the UK from EU. Britain should have no part in a undemocratic, unfair, federal and corrupt European Union.

The sooner the EPP is cut adrift and a real Opposition Party is built the better. Even though I disapprove of Party Lists with their pre-selected priorities of people I may not know) MEPs who refuse to leave (have they got their snouts well and truly in a trough?) should be de-selected and the sooner the better.

I am number one MEP on the Party list for North West England. Please add my name to those in favour of withdrawal from the EPP. I have made my position abundantly clear throughout the North West. There is a one-off chance for our Party to join with Centre Right MEPs from other countries to form a new political group in the European Parliament. We should lead this group towards a market oriented, free enterprise, competitive Europe and away from ever closer union, high social on-costs and political integration.

Britain needs to wake up to the slow erosion of sovereignty and the malign influence on our way of life that the EU causes. It has become a bloated gravy train which is unable to properly explain how it spends large amounts of public money. Why pay our huge contribution in order simply to lose control over our fisheries, legal system and our freedom of action in domestic and foreign policy? Better off out!

As a member of UKIP you may find it surprising that I am as eager as anyone for the Conservatives to leave the E.P.P. and take a stronger stance against the E.U. project, considering that this may well minimise the influence of my own party. However, like most in UKIP, we are patriots first politicians in many cases, a most reluctant second. However, don\'t just leave the E.P.P. Shout very loudly about why you are doing it, then do what many from all voting directs want you to do and GET US OUT!!!!

Dc was elected partly as a direct result of this pledge, I joined and voted for him in the leadership election on the assumption that he would have carried on Michael Howard\'s Eurosceptic policies, it would be foolhardy for him to abandon the one specific priority he outlined. It shall also look good if he blows away the old guard (Macmillian-Scott, Jackson (from a traitorous family)and Kirkhope) in favour of the next generation (Hannan etc.)It is unrealistic for many of us to threaten to vote UKIP (and thus indirectly prop up an aiing Labour Party), but the leadership need to take a coherant stance.

Putting forth a vision of what a workable EU might look like, or at least an alternative strategy for the UK & other European Nations, could precipitate fierce reaction from Carolingian states as they percieve their federal union being Anglified. Such opposition is likely to prevent the onward march of centralized bureacracy and the encroaching superstate. I hope Cameron sees this through...

I fully support Adieu-EPP, but it would be more beneficial to the people of this once proud Nation, to urge our Parliament to withdraw our Country from this corrupt EU Organisation that is irrevocably removing our Sovereignty.
From a past Conserative supporter and one that is sadly being left with very little option but to vote UKIP in the next Election, or more likely, just not voting.
